This is a mélange of music which I produced mostly on its entirety. I will now tell the story of each song.

“CANCION DE CUNA” (Lullaby) was composed by tenor saxman Chivo Borraro and myself and recorded with three musicians: Chivo on tenor sax, myself of Fender Rhodes, Minimoog and Chino Rossi on percussion. The Minimoog went out for sale on 1970 and in 1972 I was one of the very few utilizing it as a jazz instrument. Actually, I never heard anyone else using it, but I assume there were others. I started from scratch and literally invented uses, among others to emulate a bass or an electric guitar solo. All of this, happening in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I usually don’t talk much about my music. I let music speak for itself.

“ALEVACOLARIEA KARINE” is a 2010 remix of a song recorded in 1974. Since I had 8 track tapes from Argentina, I decided to give it a new twist. I only used the percussion from the 1974 original version plus added percussion by genius Osvaldo Fattoruso and his candombe drums from Montevideo, recorded on site.

“ALPHA IV” is a tune by Jorge Calandrelli, performed by himself on piano, Alfredo Remus, bass, and Osvaldo Lopez, drums. It was recorded in Buenos Aires on July 1969.

“I CAN’T GET STARTED” is a friend’s reunion which took place in 2003 in Montevideo, Uruguay, where Enrique Ibarguren (piano) and I (flute) recorded this “memento”. The voices sung and arranged by Luis Baetti where recorded 10 years later.

“NAMASTE”, a beautiful duo recorded in Hollywood by Masters Sam Most (flute) and Larry Koonse (guitar).

“PICCOLO BLUES”. From Buenos Aires, 1973, Enrique Ibarguren piano, Alfredo Remus bass, Norberto Minichilo drums and Fernando Gelbard (myself) on Piccolo.

“INFIVE” This is a Pat Senatore Trio track. Pat is on the bass, Josh Nelson on piano, Mark Fever on drums. It was produced by Pat and Jorge Calandrelli. The tune was composed by Jorge Calandrelli and Fernando Gelbard. It was recorded at the iconic Capitol Studios by legendary Al Schmidt.

“FLOWERS”, a tune by Fernando Gelbard, which was arranged and sung by Luis Baetti in the city of Rosario, Argentina. The wonderful guitar solo was added by Larry Koonse in Hollywood.

“SPARKLES”, composed by Frank Collett and Fernando Gelbard. Performed by Frank Collett on piano, Monte Budwig on bass and Santo Savino on drums. Recorded in 1986 at Sage and Sound Studios, Hollywood by Phil Sheridan, produced by Fernando Gelbard.

“INFIVE”, composed by Jorge Calandrelli and Fernando Gelbard. I recorded the voices arranged by Luis Baetti in Rosario, Argentina. I saved those voices until I could find a soloist capable of improvising on this track. Larry Koose, recorded an impeccable guitar solo. Here is the result.

“THE GREAT UNKNOWN”, this beautiful duo was recorded in Hollywood. Masters Sam Most on flute and Larry Koonse, guitar.

“HAVANA NIGHTS”, recorded originally in 1974 by Fernando Gelbard (composer, Fender Rhodes and Minimoog). It was released at the time and several decades later an arrangement of voices by Luis Baetti was added.
